Wow, what a surprise this book was. Very good fundamentals. Much more than the techniques laid out, it is the way of viewing money that this book teaches that makes a huge difference. Great book about personal finance. I think this book is one of the best books about money I have ever read. Very basic. Very basic approach to debt which may be good for some. Hard-hitting, as it should be. Mike uses strong words in this short book because they need to be strong. I would give it 6 stars if I could! When I first looked at the book, it was deceiving.
Straight to the point and simple. This is short, quick read that cuts to the chase and gets to the point. Keeping it Simple. I read this short (112 page) book in a single night. Excellent primer to help get you in the right mindset, and out of debt! Mr. Enthusiastically recommended reading for all Americans. Slavery is defined as "being bound in servitude as an instrument of labor" - something that applies to directly to debt as well! It Gets to the Point. Since this book is slightly over 100 pages, Michael didn't waste words and got to the point right away on issues from debt to credit cards and "good debt" to mortgages and the like. Good advice but flimsy. I agree with the premise that debt is a form of modern day indentured servitude. Best book I have ever read about personal finance. "Debt is Slavery" is a well written, simple and clean peace of work. Excellent Book! My husband and I read this book in a few days and it really sparked a keen interest in watching our debt waistline. Great book... Excellent book!
