There Is a River: The Story of Edgar Cayce

The Story of Edgar Cayce: There is a River is an outstanding biography of an expecially gifted 20th Century prophet. This is the original biography of Edgar Cayce and the only one written by someone who actually knew Cayce and witnessed his amazing abilities. The book is very interesting and easy to read compared with some of the subsequent biographies and books on various subjects based on the Cayce “readings.” I highly recommend purchasing the book and reading about this remarkable man. You will enjoy it, and it could change your entire outlook on life! Read more »

The pride of lions: do not shut them up in Zoos. The pride of your dogs: let them not grow fat. Love the pride of your fellow-partisans, and allow them no self-pity.” “Love the pride of the conquered nations, and leave them to honour their father and their mother.” `Out of Africa’ is filled with beautiful descriptive prose. But someone also learned from Africa and her people, and was good enough to leave us a chronicle. Read more »

This House of Sky: Landscapes of a Western Mind

This House of Sky chronicles the early years of a boy growing up in Montana under circumstances that to others might appear difficult – his mother died young, his father and grandmother bring him up, poverty is never far. The author is a remarkable man whose tale that describes a way of life gone by and people whose spirit and determination are hard to find. This is one of the few books that I have read more than once – even after four or five reads it remains fresh. This is also great book to give as a gift, and the recent hardcover version has a special forward by the author Read more »
